Presenter Instructions

Papers accepted for Oral Presentation

- You can consult the program published online to learn the day and time of your presentation here.

- You presentation is allocated a 30 minutes slot, 25 minutes for your talk and 5 minutes Q&A. Please make sure that you do not run over time and allow the allotted time for discussion with the audience as this is an important part of the conference.

- Upload your presentation in Powerpoint format no later than May 15th, 2017, in the submission site here. Click on “Manage my papers” and then on “Upload the Presentation”. Please note that the aspect ratio of the projector to be used is 16:9.

- Designate the presenter of your presentation no later than May 15th, 2017, in the submission site here. Click on “Manage my papers” and then on “Set the Presenter”.

- Complete this form with your short biography and session/presentation details and send it no later than May 15th, 2017, by e-mail to the Audiovisual Chair, Prof. Chrysostomos Nicopoulos from University of Cyprus.

Papers accepted for Poster Presentation

- You will present your poster in a dedicated 1-hour session, during one of the morning coffee breaks. You can consult the program published online to learn the day and time of your session here.

- The poster should be designed as a single image and printed on paper with size A0, i.e. 841 x 1189 mm. Please note that the poster holder has dimensions 900 x 1200 mm. You are expected to print the poster and bring it yourself to the Symposium. It is strictly forbidden to bring individual pages and assemble them on site. We will provide the poster holder and necessary fasteners.

- Prof. Stelios Neophytou from University of Nicocia will be moderating all poster sessions. He and his team of volunteering students will be available on-site to answer questions and help you set up your poster.  Your poster should be set up at least 1 hour before the start of your poster session.

Table-Top Demo Presentations

- There are 3 dedicated 1-hour sessions for table-top demos. You can consult the program published online to learn the day and time of these 3 sessions here.

- Prof. Theocharis Theocharides from the University of Cyprus will be moderating the table-top demo sessions. He and his team of volunteering students will be available on-site to answer questions and help you set up the table-top demo, which should be set up at least 1 hour before the start of the session.

- Below is a list of what it can be provided. Please e-mail the table-top demo session moderator to let him know which of these you will be using no later than May 15th, 2017. The name(s) of the presenter(s) should also be sent to the moderator by the same deadline.

  • Table (180cm) and chair
  • A4 standing sign with company logo
  • Electricity and extension cord
  • Monitor with VGA connector
  • Poster holder with dimensions 120cm x 90cm 

Presentations in all other Sessions

(Embedded Tutorials, Special Sessions, Panels, ETS2 Special Track, Industry Wish List, and Vendor Sessions)

- You can consult the program published online to learn the day and time of your presentation here.

- Please coordinate with the organizer(s) of your session to learn about the time allocated for your presentation. For panels, you are expected to make a short presentation to state and justify your position so as to leave enough time for the discussion and interactions with the audience.  For all other sessions, as a rule-of-thumb, divide the total time of the session by the number of presenters to calculate the time of your presentation. Remember to always allow time for discussion with the audience as this is an important part of the conference.

- Send your presentation in Powerpoint format by e-mail or a link to download it no later than May 15th, 2017, to the Audiovisual Chair, Prof. Chrysostomos Nicopoulos from University of Cyprus. Please note that the aspect ratio of the projector to be used is 16:9.
